Wow. This is an expensive map for what you get. Can't say how useful it is since we decided to go somewhere else instead. I have it on hand for a future trip, but it seems like a map you might pick up for free, though it is easy to fold back up and seems a bit more durable than a free map.Product details

If you've got state maps of Utah, Arizona and Colorado, save your money and don't buy this. It's ok as a quick reference to the parks, distances between them, etc., but that's about it. The roads listed are only the main ones, there's no real detail to the map. Again, it's good as a reference to where everything is, but you'll need more maps to really explore these areas.

I am so glad I purchased this map of Utah and the parks both in Utah and Arizona (Grand Canyon area)! It looks like a normal map that folds up - like the one that takes a genesis to fold back up ) but this map is kind of plastic coated so if you spilled a drink on it you could easy wipe it off. What I particularly like is the western look of the map and I would of paid more for it because it will get well used.
One side is the map and the other side are smaller maps of the parks and points of interests within those parks. GET IT!
This map starts at the SLC area downwards and mostly deals with the parks versus routes and such. It is a quick glance of the national parks and points of interest not a road map.
Great map and it is made of high quality paper! I have it hanging on the wall after I returned.

If you are going from park to park this is a good sturdy map. It provided the overview that I wanted to supplement my GPS.
I bought this map thinking that it might offer more detail than a common AAA map or the free maps that are handed out at visitor centers. It does not. In fact, it provides far less detail and is quite useless for any serious trip planning. Very few roads are displayed on the maps, leaving out many secondary roads completely. As to the individual national park maps provided on the back they also show very little detail. If you are planning to go to the canyon land areas of the southwest buy a decent guide to those national parks, copy the detailed maps each park provides on the internet, and stop by AAA for your state maps. Detailed state maps can also be obtained for free by writing to the states you plan to visit. You will be much better prepared to enjoy your trip with those maps.
